I will not see it in the theatre and probably would not rent it. I miss the old $1.50 show movie theatres where you could watch really bad movies for their entertainment value. I spent a lot of time in my youth at the Davis, Pickwick, Skokie and one on Sheridan in Rogers Park.

:D

I don't like seeing geriatrics get beat up. I won't be seeing it.

I don't know of anyplace that inexpensive. The Pickwick charges almost the same price as a regular theatre to have a viewing experience below that of many home theatres. I would be more than willing to see summer blockbusters in December in a theatre for $1.

Yeah Coach. I'll bet you really enjoyed the moment where Rocky finally beat apallo in a race and they had a splashy embrace in the ocean. LOL.

Absolutely. The wifebeaters, the nut shorts. The only things missing in that beach scene were Juan Uribe's "strong base", Urlacher's "low pad levels," and McNeil in a t-shirt that reads "I always look for talented young men" grilling Allen Bros steaks.

That's the billboard on 294.

The one on 53 would have the volleyball scene from Top Gun +
McNeil in a t-shirt that reads "I always look for talented young men" & cutoff denim shorts rollerblading while listening to Cheryl Crow

Now that's an advertising campaign!

When Rocky 3 came out, I went to see it with a group of friends. As we are buying our tickets, the previous showing is letting out. Some douchebag comes out and yells, "Mr T kills Mickey!" My buddy Jeff, who was 6'1" at 13 and a bit of a red ass, coldcocks the prick, knocking him out cold. Everybody in line starts clapping, but the manager didn't share our enthusiasm. Needless to say, I didn't see the movie that day, or at that theatre.

I will go see this movie, if for no other reason, to see what music they use for the training montage. What is the 2006 version of Eye of the Tiger?

A few weeks ago, I ran up the stairs to the Philly Museum and struck the pose. Does that count?

In honor of good dolphin - Pictures?

That's funny because I've always wanted to do that. Few things beat passing a cold winter weekend watching a Rocky marathon.

Spike TV has had one going for the last week just about every other day. Last night they showed the original.

I won't be going to see this - since they never made a Rocky V, they can't make a Rocky VI. And believe me, Rocky V NEVER HAPPENED.

I did as well. Were they filming a Billy Blanks Tae Bo video when you were there as well?

No, I believed that independently of Simmons before I started reading him, he and I just have a similar view. The Rocky movies ended at 4, Godfather at 2, and that's just the way it is.

Coach, this is pretty much common knowledge for this movie, he wasn't trying to piss you or anyone else off.

Yeah I watched 1 and 2 On Demand. Those are great. Stalone did some great acting in those movies. He really had some funny lines. I love the beat down Philadelphia back round and Rocky's rough life style. I even liked him courting Adrian. Most love stories miss but this was well done. It wasn't over the top.
