The cast would be all the Score personalities or producers.

Walt: Grobber
Skyler: Kerry Sayers(Defacto Cream of the Crop)
Hank: Mac
Marie: Amy Lawrence (reaching here, CBS lady)
Mike: Terry (cuz everyone loves him and he hates everyone)
Jesse: Drinky
Badger: Meatpants
Skinny Pete: Finfer
Lydia: Julie Sweica (sensing a pattern here?)
Todd: Connor McKnight or Joe O. (interchangeable)
Saul: Bernsie
Todd's Arian Nation Gang: Sales People
Gus: LoHo
Tuco: Mike Mulligan
Walt Jr.: Hanley

Dan Bernstein is Walt.

I'd have to think about the rest. I'd put Terry as Saul.

Jesse - LoHo

Hank is Mac.

I like Badger too. Although Skinny Pete was an awesome musician in that one episode.

Lydia is Mitch.

Marie is Mully.

Mike is O.B.

That's all I got for now.

I did actually have Terry as Saul and Dan as Walt, but I changed my mind in Jesse type fashion.

Dan is classic Walt. A guy overqualified and oversmart for his position in life that feels like he could be doing better (full disclosure - I'm Beardowning this as I'm sure that in real life Dan is quite happy with his life but that's not good for THE NARRATIVE).

He sees Seth Davis as a national celebrity and wants to sell his BLUE NARRATIVE (PSU) to the world. His Penn State hate is 99% pure and....I'm done....

Heisenbeardown hat off.

Love the idea of Joe O as Todd.

Bernstein is Gus.

Murph is Jane.

no.... just no.

i'm officially sick of breaking bad. you seriously can't talk to a white person of middle class standing (or at least have enough $$$ to afford their own place+cable) nowadays without the conversation heading over to breaking bad like it's some epic masterstroke of television. the show was fun circa seasons 2-4 as he rose up from flashbanging local hoods with the power of science to breaking into the gus fring empire, but since gus left the whole thing is akin to peter griffin's dislike of the godfather.... it just insists upon itself.

but hey, it's turned into that oh-so-wonderful/ly-marketable niche of "event television" which the british tend to love (see what they've done to doctor who for the last couple'a years, sherlock, luther series, etc) and america loves too, especially in this newfangled superinternet age of memetics gone wild.

but yeah, i don't think of anything/anyone in my day to day life that's representative of breaking bad characters/tropes/comaprisons.... it's just a show about a goofy meth cook in the empire business who i'm told is one to knock. and when krysten ritter dies airplanes explode in the sky. can't forget that....once the show was willing to blow up airplanes to send off a cute lil gothy-looking junkie, welp, it got into the insisting business.

and now the end result is having to discuss this like it's some epic cultural event, when in reality, it's a show that's spent these last 2 seasons (erm, sorry, last ONE season since AMC's got fuck all in teh pipeline and they have to flesh out their soon-departing shows to max htem out for as many big ratings sundays as they can) cashing in on everything it's done for the first 4 years cuz the buzz has caught up and overtaken everything and now everyone just wants to see how it ends, as opposed to watching it because it's must-see-TV.

I think that Jurko and Mac would have that whole show to themselves.

Yeah, people ruin every good show by failing to get it. The Sopranos is just about people getting whacked, like Mad Men is just about Don Draper keeping his pimp hand strong (or if you're a girl, an occasion to curate a retro cocktail party with recipes from Pinterest), like The Wire is an excuse for white people to think they're black. In turn, Breaking Bad is about shit blowin' up good and Walter White bein' an awesome dude.

Yeah, obviously sarcasm. Those few weeks when every dork was like "COME AT THE KING YOU'D BEST NOT MISS" in reference to himself were a bad few weeks.

Yeah, that's what made me post that. Never has a show had a more obvious, purposeful reason for being created.

Right, it's like Bill Simmons little bracket faux pax. Just cuz a bunch of bro dipshits misread the purpose of a show isn't any reason to indict that show itself.

I wasn't really totally awake when I responded to sinicalypse, I suspect. I love all of those shows and hate the people who don't get them. It doesn't ruin them for me, though we're really cutting it close with the people who don't get Breaking Bad.
