Anyone else see this? I thought it was pretty good. A couple of nice twists & pretty fast paced.

meh. I can't believe I'm saying this but this super hero stuff is getting old. It was half Star Wars and half a Super Hero movie. A movie like this is only as strong as it's enemy. This one had a generic type villain. The story really was pretty weak, but it did have some nice twists in it. I thought the comedy could have been toned down a bit, especially during the final big fight. I grew up reading SHIELD,Captain America & The Avengers but they need to give this stuff a rest because it's going to implode on them. Having said that,Captain America in the previews looks great!

To me it seems that it's only w/ Super hero movies that people say "they are getting old", "they are overplayed" etc. But nobody says "Oh fuck, another comedy!" or "Man, I'm getting sick of all these war movies".

It's another genre (or rather, an off-shoot of the Action genre). Maybe in 5 yrs. or so there won't be 10 of them released in a year, but there will always be 2-3 & people will get used to them.

Good movie with a little of intelligence thrown in...liked the twists they threw in and Natalie Portman is always easy on the eyes...Didn't know who the character was in the after-credits scene, after doing a little research seems interesting.

yeah, I hadn't heard of him either. I read he's supposed to be in the Guardians of the Galaxy film (which Thanos is supposed to be in).

I also didn't recognize Zackary Levi in his role.

Holy shit I didn't even recognize Zach...Loki changing into the Avenger drew lots of chuckles from the audience...
