On Esquire, worth a look.

follow 3 or 4 guys , or in one case a group of guys. the group of 3 guys is believable. The each put in $300 and they make all Pick 4 and Pick 6's for the day. Dont think they won anything the one episode I watched.

Jim Conte? 2009 Horse handicapper of the year. claims he won $500K. Kinda looks like thats the last time he win.

Jim Helman? Helmuth? Uses his Laptop, runs some program, then goes holistic. Wears a bandana, uses oils and scents to promote positive rays into the horse. He was in a handicapping contest and I dont know if it was real money or not, but he hit a W, on a 9-1 shot, with $2500 on it. Had an exacta too, for a $27K W. he was in the lead when I changed the channel

JORR thoughts? SP Macker?

I watched it. The other guys seem very typical track guys... the new age guy seems a little off. A little acting. The other guys seem like they would act for any stranger, they always act it up a bit.

A good line was the guy giving the waitress a sure thing as he's looking through the program. Lunch; 12 to 1.

I like the 60 year old guy's 20 year old wife, especially her heavy NY accent, and the fact she picked 5 winners in a row based on names.

And the metaphysical Breeder Cup kid's girlfriend isn't too bad either.

I like it so far, even though some of it was fabricated. They had a horse named Groupie Doll at 20-1, and she's never been that high. So far, it seems like they are trying to appeal to people that may watch a horse race once a year (Ky Derby). I was hoping that they were going to get into details and statistics about horses, but that may be down the line, as it was just one show. I also enjoyed it because most of my twitter friends are horse racing fans, so it felt like the chat room during Bears games.

Not saying guys dont drop $2300 on a horse, but seemed like some big money, if real, for a typical race.

I would assume anything over $1000 is not even close to a typical wager.

Watching these Assholes hanging out in LA and bitching about it being 67 today, "a little chilly" in the sun. Agggrrrrrrrrr
