Giddy Up!



Jerry Seinfeld appeared on WFAN radio show Boomer & Carton on Thursday to talk football, but the conversation eventually turned to the Seinfeld reunion rumors that have emerged ever since he and Jason Alexander (better known as George Costanza) were seen outside the series’ iconic New York landmark Tom’s Restaurant earlier this month.
Seinfeld confirmed that the outing was indeed filmed, but not for a Super Bowl commercial or for an episode of his web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. “It’s a secret project,” Seinfeld said, adding that it’s “short-ish” form, but longer than 60 seconds. He also revealed that other Seinfeld alumni were involved — including Larry David, who will not appear on camera — and that they shot at other locations besides Tom’s, though they didn’t film at Jerry’s apartment on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
Unfortunately, Seinfeld — who also recently revealed that he is working on “a gigantic project” for Broadway with David — said the mystery Seinfeld reunion project won’t be a recurring series. “I think it’s one-and-done,” he noted.
But there is some good news: The project will be unveiled “very, very soon,” Seinfeld added.

They sort of did this already on Curb didnt they. It wasnt very good.

Yeah, that was a pretty big let down. The only part I liked was the interactions between Jerry and Larry. Everything else was bad.

Kramer and George have pretty much showed themselves to be one trick ponies even though that one trick was very good.

Jimmy Fallon had sort of a FH reunion on his show last night.

jason alexander was always more of a theatre actor. he had some minor roles in films but he's a stage guy, and he's done pretty well there. richards is totally one trick. even on "fridays" he was pretty much kramer.

He was good as the asshole in Pretty Woman, but that was just him being George with money


Did you see the Curb season with Seinfeld? What'd you think? I thought it was as good as it could be

I haven't seen him on stage. He doesn't seem to have any screen presence in movies. I thought his forte was in being a multi talented entertainer. I saw him in that TV version of Bye, Bye, Birdie (yes, I know the implications) and I really did not think he carried it very well.

On the other hand, I have liked Julia Louis Dreyfuss in just about everything she has done professionally, even SNL. I think she was the most talented comedic actor in the group.

yes, i enjoyed it. i thought it was a nice way of doing a "reunion" of sorts. i wrote an episode of "curb" that uses that motif and parodies it a bit too...i think i posted a link to it in another thread. you may have even read it, can't remember.

GD, what i mean is i think he's more suited for broadway and plays...he was in both the play and movie version of "love! valour! compassion!" and he was pretty exceptional in that, as er...gay as it was.

Not sure if anyone remembers in the final season Richard Lewis shows up and goes to pound Jerry's hand and Jerry goes for the shake... just kinda looks at him and says

I just could not stop laughing about that. Its perfect condescending Jerry and perfect Curb material

Just read where Seinfeld turned 60. He looks it. Newman looks the same though. Commercial was awful.
