I'm gonna have to find that to listen to today. I don't watch Kimmel but think he is pretty good.

Thought he was really great. Love the ball busting. Letterman had some great one-liners on Howard. Rickles was fantastic, too.

It was the same lazy appearance Howie always does. Interrupting Dave at every turn, passive aggressive comments about his and Dave's relationship, and of course, the shots at Jay Leno. Howie, Jay did you a favor by hiring that idiot Stuttering John. I think Leno sucks, but it's been years. It's time to let it go. His final visit to the show, and he made it about Jay Leno. Decades of therapy, and Howie is still the same neurotic asswipe he has always been.

I love the picture of Howie's appearance from 1984. How anybody can look at his hair in that picture, and then claim that his hair today is all natural, is a mystery to me. He has had tons of surgery to fix his face, nose, chin, and teeth, but somehow the hair is still all his? The hair on one's head doesn't get thicker and darker as one ages, it goes the other way.

Letterman's not done with TV. He's going to be doing some sort of weekly show. So he can still drive into the city once a week and have a fresh batch of interns to bang.

That is what has always bothered me about his interviews. He has a rep for being such a great interviewer but I cant tell you how many times the guest has been on the verge of dishing something or saying something really interesting and Howard interrupts to get this next question out and take the interview in a different less interesting direction.

I think Howie is as good as it gets at interviewing when he is hosting his show. His appearances on other shows are always a train wreck. Last night was no exception.

i think he has great interviews because he typically has a person in there for an hour or more. he gets more personal information out of them and it feels more relaxed and honest, rather than a PR puff piece.

that said, i agree that howard can sometimes overdo it and go larry king sometimes. "isn't it true you..." "i read that..." "but you didn't really like this person..." etc...sometimes he is just kidding but there are times where he doesn't let the person finish and tries to finish their thought for them.
