At the point, I can only base it off of his commercials, but this looks like a disaster. If the goal is to be the least edgy person on television and to make Jimmy Fallon look like George Carlin then mission accomplished.

Hopefully this is intentional to try and get the older people who don't yet have a familiarity with him but so far not good.

Jimmy Fallon would have been afraid to have had Carlin on his show.

Hopefully you're right & the commercials are just being dumbed down to attract the idiots that constitute "Middle America".

My oldest kid was a huge fan of the Colbert Report. We were talking about the move and it got me to thinking: I have never seen a comedic bit of Colbert's where he is not in his CR character. That is pretty strange for a 50 year old comedian who is nationally known. I'm not so sure it wasn't just the character that was funny. It wouldn't be strange for a good sketch comedian to have a boring personality.

I've seen a few interviews of him out of character and it's hard to tell the difference. He does seem a little uncomfortable when he's not in character.

it really is a good show. I don't watch reality TV and had my doubts about it but I am hooked.

Sure, Elon Musk has an interesting story, but do I care about him on a show that will give him five minutes of giggles? If I don't care about him on that type of show, imagine the lack of interest in the Uber guy.
