Have really avoided watching most of this stuff since it happened. Seen minutes of tons of shows, but at some point always turn them off.

Also think it would have hit us much harder, had something happened here, as many people claim was part of the mission.

Talking to the neice yesterday, they didnt even mention anything in her school about it. She didnt really know about it or what it was. I understand it isnt a pleasant gluten free and natural unsweetened juice moment, but I would think 5th grade and beyond some modern history, should be mentioned?

Yeah same with my 10 year old and I generally avoid the shows too. Crazy thing is there are freshman now who weren't born yet. Yikes.

They're too busy being taught about the Great Satan.

What does Vietnam or Kennedy Assassination or Korean War or WWII war mean to you?

Some gravestones and mangled vets, but what is your personal connection(s) to those events? Your pop pop or weird uncle?

Us of this age are now on the other side of these historic events. /rant

So history for a student should be only the last 3-5 years?

I think it's mandatory the schools have to teach it every year to each grade level, seems overkill.

One year they should switch it up and play Loose Change or have Panther teach the class.

It was a pretty big deal at my son's high school, very long announcement was read along with a moment of silence.

Step son came home and was talking about it a little bit. He wrote a short report on one of the people on Flight 93 for school. He
asked me and his mom where we were that day. I was trying to explain to him what it was like seeing it all happen and unfold.
I told him that I saw the second plane hit the tower on TV and he said, " Yeah I saw that too". I tried to explain that I saw it
happen live and again he said " Yeah, me too". He didn't quite grasp it, but I thought it was funny.
