Bought this on Amazon because it was marked down to under 9 bucks. Can someone else who has seen this movie give an opinion? I'm glad I watched it even though I guessed what was going on from the beginning. The movie should have been edited better but it might have added to the confusing riddle of time and space if scenes were cut. Roeper said it was the most beautiful movie he had ever seen. I didn't see that but it was very dry and a lot of scientific yada-yada. Another problem I found is McConnehey mumbling through parts of the script. Hard enough to keep track of this convoluted sci-fi stuff without good diction by the star. I give it 2 asteroids out of 4.

For the most part, this thing is a flaming pile of garbage. I only sat there for the whole three hours because otherwise, I wouldn't have had a ride home.

Has this been rereleased as The Martian? I saw a commercial with spaceman Matt Damon in it and momentarily confused.

And of course DB brings it strong, like he always does.

Oh, and according to this movie, in the future, there is only one black person. He is apparently researching black holes. He gets left behind on the ship for the first mission to a planet, having to wait 23 years for the ship's return. On the next planet, he gets blown up by Matt Damon and then there are no more black people.

The NBA in the future must really suck.

Haven't seen it but after the tripe that was Inception I don't think I need to. Don't get me wrong Nolan has had his moments for sure. Momento was great. Following was interesting at least. Insomnia I enjoyed. Batman begins was great. The Dark Knight was out of the park. The Prestige is my favorite. Rises bored the hell out of me. He started reading his press clippings. He went all George Lucas on the world.

Inception was good.

Visually sure. As an uninteresting amoral story where the only character with any real depth (Cillian Murphy) is completely overlooked and the plot is executed poorly (just a backdrop for good visuals) I guess it was good. Now if Nolan shot that movie as the music video for Silent Lucidity it would have been the greatest video of all time. It would have been great if the runtime was about 74 minutes.

I thought Interstellar was great...one of those movies that will gain appreciation and adoration over time. I don't know how Gravity was nominated for just about every major Oscar and yet Interstellar was basically shut out despite being 100x better IMHO. I wasn't a big McConaughey fan before this, but he nailed it. Even the relationship he had with the robot (TARS) was very well done.

There's a lot of science in the movie, but I think it was explained pretty well... in contrast to Inception, which gave me a massive headache.

Alright I might watch this. Simply because I thought Gravity was way overrated. Gravity was once again great visually and kept tension but to hell if I cared an ounce about either character.

I really loved Moon though. I was likely biased because I love Bowie so any of his gene pool is going to intrigue me and Sam Rockwell always does it for me.

I think maybe another issue with Interstellar was the McCognaughey fatigue factor. Started building with Killer Joe and Mud. Then Dallas Buyers Club and True Detective just really had him in our face. Well deserved of course but the timing of it may have been a bit off.
