Still the best show on television. Really enjoyed Tuesday's show.

I never liked Jake. He's a baby whiner, who has no business captaining a crab boat. The guy gives Sig the silent treatment over the radio after Sig made him everything he is. And then he plays games by dumping his pots into Sig's string. Never have seen Sig so pissed, with steam practically coming out of his ears.

The other great Captain is Wild Bill. Probably the most entertaining to watch, because of his sharp tongue and fiery temper.

This season seems more staged than any other season. Like when Captain Keith Colburn's brother had to go coax him out of the bar to get him on the boat.

kinda made me roll my eyes, that whole thing in the bar. and everything about sig/jake being at odds is totally staged in my opinion. all bullshit. the only boat i dont think is totally staged for storylines is wild bill's. i get the feeling that guy is every bit the asshole he portrays on tv.

yet here i am still watching season after season.

Agreed with the more scripted feel, I'm not sure if I missedva couple episodes or not..I was looking forward to watching the destruction of that clown Elliot Neese and his boat..it looks like he's no longer a captain. Jake is an emotional pussy, he's got no business being a captain of a crab boat. I'd like an update on Junior, hard worker that disappeared after his back injuries. I pull for Sig and wouldn't be disappointed if the Wizard n Time Bandit sank.

Missed last night's episode, darn it. Totally forgot about it, because I was doing other things. What happened?

Wild Bill is tough because he wants his son to be as good as he is, when eventually he'll take over. It's not a nursery school he's running, but a crab boat on the Bering Sea!!

Maybe some of the story lines are scripted, but I doubt that is the case with Sig. He's too much of a hard-ass to allow any fluffy scripting for him. He's all business.

I'm still watching but I agree about the staging. Seems a lot more prominent than in years past.

Wild Bill at the top of his game yesterday. Catches one of his greenhorns sleeping on watch in the wheelhouse and he slaps him. Shocking, but he made his point.

Johnathan Hillstrand is another cool captain. Nothing could happen on the Time Bandit that he couldn't deal with. Hydraulic leaks everywhere---no problem.

Very entertaining episode all around, made even better by a cold beer.
