I know the S&W board doesn't get much love but I must say that I enjoy it thoroughly and listen to their podcast nightly.

Whatever lazy funk Waddle use to be in where he would be clueless on anything other than football is gone. He is highly engaged and the show is better for it.

Unlike B&B, the hosts don't take themselves too seriously. I'm not being yelled at on the radio. They are not setting up dumb callers on purpose to mock them. Even when a caller disagrees with Silvy or Waddle's take, they are not treated like shit and called a moron.

S&W get better guests and Silvy is a great interviewer. He asks the tough question w/o being a total asshole.

silvy has always been the best interviewer IMO. i like that he doesn't back down from a question that he thinks is important to ask. while i wish he were on a better station, he has always been in my top 5 radio personalities in chicago. his best days were (obviously) with carmen but he makes waddle better. i think waddle is more astute now because he has a reputation to uphold. he is a featured guy on various networks and i think he wants a bigger role eventually in commentating. i don't know that he'll broadcast games or anything but i think he might want to be more important somewhere down the line.

my biggest problem with sports radio shows in general is that they do way too many athlete interviews and "shows" and it just isn't interesting to me.

Best show on the air in Chicago right now. At least sports wise. The ESPN'ification with teases and such can be a bit much, but this show trumps Carmen & Jurko and anything that the Score has on.

I love Kap now where I didn't before. Waddle is not good last I listened but based on advice here,I still won't listen...what do you guys know?

W&S has been the best sports talk radio show in Chicago for a few years now. As already stated they dont take themselves too seriously. They dont have the douchey jackassedness about them like other hosts. Silvy is a great host and Waddle has improved
