I don't know what it does for the rest of you but last Friday night the board cooked me a steak, took me out and paid for my drinks and then helped me pick up a hot woman...but then, I'm good dolphin, so who knows.

I have it on reliable sources that Craig was going to hold onto Salisbury and try to make it work.

But, then, he saw a thread started by PornKing that said to fire Salisbury and he rethought his stance, thinking, of course, that the thoughts of a guy who calls himself PornKing probably represents the opinions of everyman or Joe Sixpack.

i think that the board provides some programming ideas.
you type it here, some read it there....or adapt it and discuss.

I don't think WE could ever determine a hiring or a firing, but I do think this board is a great barometer and a free resource for programming suits and the like.
let's face it. there are some well known "monikers" here. guys that have been around for a long time and remember the "heyday" of the score.
as a program director, if you knew where the loyal listeners, as well as casual or new listeners were posting on a message board......why wouldn't you read it?
it'd be stupid as hell not to.

I suspect that there are many reasons why Uncle Rico may/may not be let go. If he is gone, I would not be surprised if the last one happens to be:

I don't think that it would be a smart business move for WMVP to listen to the board's opinion with Personnell decisions. Their goal is to appeal to the masses to generate revenue. We (painting with a broad brush) hardly qualify for that. Sean might not appeal to the small niche of HARD CORE sports radio fans, but he might appeal to the casual fan who has seen him on sports center and thinks he knows what he's talking about.

Sean might not be the best example.

Point is: the board members might like a lot of things that would turn away the general masses. The suits have to be sure they apeal to the masses to maximize revenue.
