I can't stand listening to Rick Reilly when he's on the radio, but I enjoy reading his SI column. From this past week's issue (regarding watching the NFL draft):

Quote:
My favorite statement of the day: ESPN analyst Sean Salisbury argues that New England's first-round pick, Brandon Meriweather (FS, Miami), shouldn't be considered a character risk even though last year he was involved in a brawl during a game and returned fire in a shooting incident. It was "a one-time incident in both cases," Salisbury said. "They weren't repeat with the gun and repeat on the field." That's a good lesson for you kids out there. If you're going to rob a bank, could you limit it to just one?

It would have been funny to listen to Sean defend himself against Reilly. It would be hard because he normally kissed his ass. Also, I would have enjoyed listening to Sean defend the Mavericks.

Riles and Olberman are the only listenable segments of the Dan Patrick Show.

Bumbling idiots, not fumbling idiots. The approved proper spelling is now "Neandertal", as the former spelling is based off of archaic German. The first letters in sentences and names are capitalized. The idiom is "all of you combined"; "any of you combined" doesn't make any sense- what would we be combined with? The noun "bunch" requires a definite article, such as "a".

Yes, this is pedantic, but if you're going to be a douchehole, coming out calling us "fumbling idiots" for not liking Seanny Cakes, it's best to use proper grammar. If this is too much for you, leave the snark at home. MM-Kay?
