I just saw their spot on NBC during the 10:00 news.

It was bad.

Bad. Bad. Bad.

And, I'm pretty sure that they were advertising that Silvy is flaming. It MUST have been on purpose. No one could look that gay by mistake.

Pull it off of the air right now and make a better one!

I just saw it too. Yeah. Does Silvy want to portray that image? I mean, he just met the stereotype in that commerical. Jeez. Not that there's anything wrong with it but he's been fighting it at the station for years.

the "silvy is gay" stuff is OLD.

Well then they shouldn't be perpetuating the rumor with this spot.

It's just Waddle and Silvy standing and Waddle says something like "It's Baddle and Wilvy from noon to nine." Then Silvy corrects him and, absolutely no exaggeration here, has the mannerisms and expressions like he's Waddle's wife. Seriously. If I didn't know better, I'd would really guess that Silvy is flaming and that they are possibly dating each other.

The spot is that bad.

I guess Silvy is trying to be like Stewie from family guy, and play on the whole g ay thing. My favorite gay stewie moment was when him and Brian were sitting at the table and he was like

"Brian why can't guys just hang out, do things that you would go with a girl, except its a guy?"

Brian: They do its called being G ay

Stewie: Oh that's what g ay is? Oh yeah I could totally get into that....

I just saw a different 10 second spot after the ABC 7 sports. It's a soundover saying "ABC 7 sports is brought to you buy Waddle and Silvy."

It shows Waddle holding up a basketball with Silvy trying to get it. Silvy's jumping for it in frustration with Waddle grinning. Once again kind of portraying Silvy as a bitch. I guess that's the image they want to go with for Silvy.

So I'm watching the news with my wife last night. The commercial comes on. She's not too into sports and does not listen to sports radio.

I pause the TV after the spot and ask what her impression is of those two. Her response?

"Is the little one gay?"

I asked Silvy about it yesterday. He said that he has NO input into how the comercials come out and the gig was supposed to be a Big Brother/Little Brother concept.

Does anyone have a link to the commercial? I was trying to explain it to a friend of mine, but it's really something one has to see to believe. I tried searching but couldn't find it.
