Just telling you between Merkin (sp?) and Silvy they are the best pure sports interview around. Silvy asks fair, but sometimes tough, questions.

Today his interview with Moosh was a classic and he did not let Moosh go when Moosh LIED and said he had a meeting.

If the guy was going to have a meeting, why even pic up the phone?

The interview with Smoltz was a lot better. Smoltz is a very engaging guy. He'll get whatever studio job he wants after he retires.

They have had a number of quality interviews. The Josh Hamilton, the morning after he was in the HR derby was great.

I'd still say that M&H is better than this. Much better rhythm and I think they double team an interview as well as anyone. But one thing is true for Silvy and Waddle, they will clean up in the 10-12 slot in the ratings as Hampton & Holmes will literally drive the traffic over to AM1000.

No doubt. I bet S&W had a huge party in honor of the new score duo.

I wouldn't count out Dan Hampton yet; because the clinically stupid will listen to him before Waddle saying "Yeah, Tom's smart, but Dan's in the Hall of Fame."

Entire 16 (and a half) years of a career can be built on that type of "sports intelligence."

That being said, I love their show over Laurence, and listened to them over Mully and Hanley alot of times. Silvy can drive me crazy though with the stupid "slapping the couch/love me some/its all good" approach. When he's on target though, he can be a solid interviewer.
