It was hilarious. 2 thumbs down to TJ and to his agent/publicst for not informing him who the guys on the show he was appearing on are.

I mean really, should you expect someone(not a Chicago fan) below the age of say 25 to know or care who Wendell Davis, Brian Baschnagel, Steve Shubert, Dennis McKinnon, etc., or other slow possession receivers who got the hell kicked out of them at Soldier Field?

And besides if Silvy did the intro, that voice is so grating that it'd have to be even hard to think straight, much less hear the puffing about a has been-neverwas.

This isn't the only instance of a player having no idea or not caring about anything pertaining to the history of their sport. Tom Waddle is a somewhat obscure player, I'll give you that. But as it was mentioned before, they both have done work for the NFL Network and I would venture to guess that their paths have crossed...

I understand the sentiment but that never happens. These guys don't give a shit, they get paid to shill some product and they can barely even tell you what the product is. My favorite is when one guy is doing an interview and the athlete keeps saying "guys". Or when the female sideline reporters give interviews and the player keeps referring to them as "man". No brain, no pain, can't expect much from a jock.

What prompted T.J. to ask Waddle if he watched or knew football in the first place?

I believe it was a question about playing in the slot as opposed to playing on the outside. So not only was he questioning Waddles NFL knowledge, he was questioning his knowledge as a receiver. Silvy pointed out that Waddle sounded a little salty afterward which was denied by Waddle. I encourage everyone to check this show out. It's hilarious and this one has a former Bear who can complete a thought...
