I think I would stay with the Swaddle show. I'll give the DM show a chance, but it'll take a lot to make me change for good.

I anxiously await Swaddle moving to afternoons....

They deserve to be on afternoon drive. ESPN1000 would've been smart to put them there when they got rid of Mac. It would work better for my listening tastes, that's fo' sho'!

tough call with waddle nfl network duties....and i'm pretty sure he wants to be involved in his kids sports lives (i.e. 4:00-4:30 games).
while, it's good for "us" i don't think this works out....as much as it seems like the *best thing to do.

*best meaning what some of us would prefer.

I called it. I knew Mac was gonna be going head to head against Waddle & Silvy. Mac as a Protagonist without an Antagonist may be Very Bland!

Murph & L. Holmes would be Good together.

Hampton should only be a NFL/Bears Guest

+1 on Murph & Holmes

Hampton & (Steak Dinner) Boom Boom show on cswebio would be fun bad.

I was hoping this wouldn't happen. I'm sticking to Silvy and Waddle day to day in front of the comp but in the car, i pick up 670am better here in GR so I'm sure I'll switch during commericals.

I am getting sick of switching from W&S espn stream to wscr stream for B&B middays.

someone mentioned putting Boom-Boom and Hamp together to see fun-bad ensue....

Let us ask ourselves...would that be the worst show in Chicago sports radio history? If not, what show was worse?

Off teh top of my head...

There was some dork on WGN doing an evening sports show Chris Cross (?) who was absolutely brutal to listen to.

Bill Simonson was terrible as well. Seriously, you call yourself "Huge"?

Harry and Spike would be in my top 2 worst shows.

Hamp and Holmes has been an abortion.

Tom "Hip to Be" Shaer was a tough listen as well.

So I guess Mac will have to catch the Silvy and Waddle podcast...as it's his favorite show.

Being a W & S listener who enjoys mid mornings more than any other part of the radio day, Is there the remotest chance that we'll end up seeing a Carmen and Silvy afternoon saloon . Reason being is that Waddle wouldn't give up the NFL gig on the west coast, cause it could leed to bigger(national) things for him. Also revive afternoons at 1000 and leaving Waddle with a new partner for mid mornings alowing him to fly west for the NFL network?? So the fun and competition begins in a week!! Who would of thunk mid days as the hotbed of radio in Chicago? Here's to ****would you rather*******

Silvy has grown and improved as a host, more than anyone in the sports talk arena, in the past few years. He's a solid #1 today. He certainly could take on the afternoon slot. It's just too bad for him, that after all the years he had worked for the position he is in today, now he has to deal with the kind of competition that Mac will bring to that time slot. I would have much preferred they be in differing time slots, so I could listen to both shows. At this point, I hope that after Jurko's contract expires in August, they move S&W to afternoons. It's possible they ley Jurko go, before the contract expires, in which case, the time frame could be moved up. That would certainly be the best situation for listeners.

I'd actually prefer they stay where they are and Mac swap slots with B&B.

With all due respect to "Mac Nation " here on the board, I think S&W have earned the time slot they are in and built one fantastic show and people seem to be giving Mac and his new partner way too much respect in regards to switching over and that Mac is going to dominate his time slot. I think Mac was losing a little steam on his last show in the ratings and this is not to disrespect Dan's talents but you just don't walk into a new show and expect success because your name is Dan Mcneil. I don't think Mac has the ego to expect that or maybe he does but my point is don't sell a great show in S&W short just because Mac is back in the saddle.

Mac's show will have to earn my listenership and I will still enjoy S&W and maybe just flip flop to give both shows a chance to earn who gets most of my listening time .

I'll stick with S & W (when I can actually listen) but will turn to Mac during commercials. I already switch to something else during commericials since I don't like listening to them.

Considering Jim Pastor knows so much about Radio, how about he has a show and return the slumping and ready to slide ratings.

Him and that guy with backpack can go ahead and change the name of the afternoon show anytime they want.

Specially since the guy who coined the show name isn't there any longer.

It reminds me of the era when Vince Neil left Mötley Crüe. Lots of familiar faces, but not the same deal.

Although, the MD.45 album with Megadeth playing songs without Dave Mustaine singing was pretty good.
