Is without a doubt the dumbest segment in the history of recorded sound. 1, what does this crap have to do with sports. 2, what kind of moron do you have to be to find any of it even remotely funny. And C, someone needs to seriously tell Waddle he's not a friggen comedian and maybe its time to stop doing bits and start talking about that thing called sports.

I think the only reason they do this segment is to mask the other incredibly stupid segment they do, would you rather. But, at least that segment has to do with sports so it's not quite as brutal as this crap.

I think it's great. Who cares if the questions don't always include sports-related questions? Questionably one of the most popular radio host, Mac, frequently talks about non-sports related topics.

I agree w/ the original poster. I think these guys are very solid when talking sports. They lose me when they talk about their personal lives (which bores the hell out of me) and when they try to be funny.

Damn tough crowd... I like when waddle and silvy do these little games, it keeps silvy from bitching about the cubs for 10 minutes...

- Bookie Priest? - Mike's Rant's? - MNMS in its totality?

I agree that wife or radio partner = bad...but it does have solid compitition for the King of Crap Mountain award.

What about the "Jay Cutler fact of the day?"

Now they have the "Jake Peavy fact of the day", and the new one just opened today, the "Mark Derosa play of the day".... I love it...

Maybe it is getting old, I agree, but so many more worse time killers.

it is one reason friday fung was such a solid idea. You didnt wear out the good ideas, you put them on the shelf and tried something new each week.

"Home Alone," unless it was borrowing from some other film.

As far as the segment, meh. It's 5 minutes a week; sometimes it's funny, sometimes not so much. Either way, I don't mind them not talking sports for the entirety of each show. There's only so much Cubs/Sox you can talk. Frankly, I welcome the diversion, so long as it gives rise to some entertaining banter, which it usually does on W&S. Those bastards are both quirky enough that their anecdotes amuse me.

MWOMRP is brilliant radio. It hasn't been as good of late--give a quiet sabbatical, don't bury it permanently. just don't do it for a few weeks and then callers/listeners will let them know when they are ready for it again. also, it worked better as a way of getting to know waddle and, to a lesser extent, silvy. circling back to it every now and then would be good as new listeners tune in.

I don't always catch it, but count me as a fan of MWOMRP. The music they play for Waddle's wife and for Silvy cracks me up. Not a fan of WYR, though.

I end up catching this God awful crappy bit about once per month, and am stunned that they do it in all seriousness (in that they think it's actually funny or entertaining).

Schmooze Patrol has to be about the only other bit in Chicago radio history that sucks worse than this.

the problem with the bit is that it's too damn obvious. the examples are really easy to get if you just listen to the show for more than an hour a week.
