Cowley alluded to something similar yesterday. He said Ozzie has been relaxed and happy since the day he discussed his contract. Cowley suggested that perhaps Reinsdorf had told Ozzie not to worry, that they would get something done. But he didn't report it as if he had real knowledge of it.

I wish I shared your viewpoint on this. I want him and Kenny and the whole lot of them gone...but Jerry R. is a cuddly Teddy bear when it comes to friends and such.

It won't happen, we'll be back to the same spot or worse next season. Hopefully it will have escalated into Kenny and Ozzie getting into drunken knife fights in the locker-room or gangbanging Toni Braxton, getting all weirded out and going their separate ways.
