Has anyone that posts here been to Ditkapalooza? If so, I was just curious if it's worth the trip at all--not that I have any intentions of trying to get in, I'm just wondering. It sounds pretty quiet usually...but I'm pretty sure it's packed. I've also never been to Ditka's restaurant so I don't know how the food is or anything.

Am I the only one that is sick of everything having -palooza at the end of it? Murphapalooza, Ditkapalooza? When will it end ?

As soon as they stop placing "-gate" at the end of everything political: Watergate, Whitewatergate, interngate, etc.

Hoot, that will never happen, so get used to it. And it was "Whitewater," which was the name of the development the Clinton's were investing in. Its similarity to Watergate in name is what helped it stick.

Yeah it's pretty annoying...no you're not the only one and I thought it had ended until they came up with Ditkapalooza.

You may not like all things Ditka but you simply cannot say anything bad about the restaurant. I love pork chops and Ditka's are as good as I have ever had. The atmosphere is nice, the food is good and unlike so many other celebrity restaurants, Ditka is often there and engages the patrons in conversation.

I just heard a bit of the Ditka hour today, but he would not talk about the games this weekend (Bears included). He just kept saying that we'd have to watch/listen on Sunday morning. I guess the small-time S & R show isn't worthy of da Coach's high-profile, "A" material...
