Interesting. Is this their audition to go national or simply just a fill in role?

I know Waddle does weekends in Bristol during the football season. Maybe the ESPN suits like him.

About 2 weeks ago, Sports Illustrated Media Critic Richard Deitsch wrote in his column that ESPN 1000 AM's popular afternoon duo of Tom Waddle & Marc Silverman were in "heavy consideration" to take over ESPN Radio's national afternoon drive time slot. Now, the powers that be in Bristol, CT have made a decision regarding that vacancy, and "Waddle & Silvy" won't be going national after all. According to Deitsch & multiple reports, ESPN Radio has decided to go with journalist Bomani Jones instead to replace Dan Le Batard in afternoon drive nationally.
