Someone went to the Dan McNeil school of how to deal with women.

I thought this was going to be about the guy that rode Spectacular Bid to 2/3 of the Triple Crown.

The Ron Franklin story is very disturbing, and he should know better. I have a link to the SportsbyBrooks.com story on my Facebook page at facebook.com/ABSHARK18.

Ron Franklin used to be a top guy at ESPN, used to do the ESPN Saturday night game of the week with Mike Gottfried and Adrian Karsten, Franklin probably misses those days.

I don't know where Gottfired is now, but Karsten commited suicide in 2005, due to tax evasion and his wife liking girls more than him.

Reents, I thought Mike Gottfried was still with ESPN, but I'm not 100% sure. Ron Franklin did sign an extension with ESPN in 2007, where he's scheduled to work 35 college football & basketball games a year with the "Worldwide Leader". I'm not sure if he's scheduled to work any of the 7 remaining bowls on the network's schedule for either ESPN or ESPN Radio, let alone if he'll be back at courtside with Fran Fraschilla working Big 12 hoops for the network in the wake of the Jeannine Edwards incident.

Shark, he maybe, I just can't think what he does for them still, unless he does things on ESPNU.

Ron Franklin has apologized for what he said to Jeannine Edwards prior to ESPN's coverage of the Chick Fil-A Bowl Friday night in Atlanta. The veteran ESPN PBP voice's apology comes just hours after the sideline reporter confirmed she was called an "a-hole" in a production meeting prior to kickoff. Here's more on Ron's apology:

Is it possible that Jeannine Edwards is an asshole?

Yeah, the 25-year ESPN veteran was fired late this afternoon, despite apologizing for his off-air remarks towards Jeannine Edwards. The apology wasn't nearly enough to save Ron's job this time and could send a message to other ESPN personalities that such sexist behavior won't be tolerated.

If Steve Phillips, Harold Reynolds, and Sean Salisbury didn't teach any of the mouthbreathers in Bristol a lesson, I highly doubt some old guy that was on the 200th College broadcast team getting whacked will.

I am not surprised he got canned, and he was probably with the network too about 20 years, I know we get on some of the guys for being vanilla, but they know if they are, they will still have a job.

If you have been following things this week, this year has already had some crazy things in the media, along with this, Hannah Storm and Adam Schefter start high fiving each other when it comes out Mangini is gone from the Browns, just because they got breaking news when they were on together. Then, In today's USA Today, Peter King was tweeting and when put something on Arian Foster, he put Arian Nation, which means white supremist group, he has apologized for it.

You just can't make this stuff up.

Doesn't reents remind you of a less intensive SHARK?

I love when they have back to back to back posting convos with each other.

You had a feeling this was coming. Ron Franklin has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit vs. ESPN. The details on the lawsuit can be found here:
