Rich Eisen has been the face of NFL Network since they started up in 2003. While Rich had been the primary host of "NFL Total Access" from the day the network began, the former "ESPN SportsCenter" anchor is moving on to other things at the 24/7 football channel based in Los Angeles.

While Rich will continue his duties as host of "NFL GameDay Morning" on NFLN starting Sunday, September 11th as part of an ensemble that also includes Marshall Faulk, Warren Sapp, Michael Irvin & Stacey Dales 4 hours before kickoff at 8a (CT), he'll be devoting more time to a weekly podcast. The podcast, in which Rich talks more than just football with NFL and celebrity guests, is now televised every week in 30 minute form on NFLN, known simply as "The Rich Eisen Podcast."

"Total Access" continues to air 6 nights a week at 6p Monday-Saturday in HD on DIRECTV 212. Fran Charles, Paul Burmeister & Kara Henderson will be among the rotating "Access" hosts moving forward, along with a rotating group of analysts and insiders which also includes ESPN Radio 1000's own Tom Waddle, Jamie Dukes, CBS Sports' analyst Solomon Wilcots, FOX Sports' analyst Daryl "Moose" Johnston, "FOX NFL Sunday" insider Jay Glazer, plus NFLN's own Kurt Warner, Sterling Sharpe & Michael Lombardi to name a few.

Met him once in Chicago, before the NFL Network even started, he was pretty cocky then.

Whose idea was it to move to podcasts? For that matter, what are the economics associated with making podcasts? (Meaning, "revenue streams.")
