Thursday night, he'll be in the Atlanta studio with Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith & Shaquille O'Neal before & halftime of both Knicks/Magic & Celtics/Bulls and after Boston/Chicago with Turner/TNT Sports' "Inside the NBA". This weekend, he'll be in the booth as Turner/TBS Sports starts a new season of its "Sunday Game of the Week".
He's Ernie Johnson, Jr., and he'll be among the voices of TBS' Sunday afternoon MLB package that starts this weekend with Yankees/Rays at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL at 12:30p. E.J. will call the game from "The Trop" with John Smoltz, but they won't be the only voices in the Turner Sports' booth Sunday afternoons this baseball season.
Veteran Turner golden voice Dick Stockton (!) and PBP voice of the Brewers on FOX Sports Wisconsin, Brian Anderson, will also call Sunday afternoon games on TBS. Former Mets' pitcher turned Mets/SNY analyst Ron Darling, ex-Red Sox, Cubs & A's pitcher turned Red Sox/NESN studio analyst, Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley & former Yankees, White Sox & Blue Jays' lefty David "Boomer" Wells will also provide analysis for TBS' Sunday MLB broadcasts as the season progresses.
For the record, there are no Cubs or White Sox games scheduled to air on TBS in the first 2 months of the MLB season. These are the games that'll air on TBS starting Sunday:
