It might be the beginning of September, but there's news of a shakeup at ESPN involving its "NBA Countdown" show, according to SportsByBrooks' Twitter account. While Earvin "Magic" Johnson & Michael Wilbon will be back on the Los Angeles set, Chris Broussard & Jon Barry will not.

SportsByBrooks reports that the "Worldwide Leader" has re-assigned Broussard, an ESPN The Magazine NBA scribe, to its offices & studios in Bristol, CT & that Barry will not be back on the L.A. set either. The report goes on to say that ESPN.com's "Sports Guy" Bill Simmons & former Heat & Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy, brother of ESPN/ABC's lead NBA analyst Jeff Van Gundy, will replace Broussard & Barry as part of a revamped NBA studio show on both ESPN & ABC this upcoming season.
