The only thing I use Sling for at this time of the year are the Hawks and the NASCAR races that are on cable. There are only 2 more NASCAR races on cable this season so I will either stream them or go watch them at my father’s house. I already get NHL Center Ice so I am just going to watch other teams instead of paying $50 a month for Vue for primarily the Hawks. I am just about at the point where I would rather watch the Leafs then the Hawks anyways.

Once the NHL playoffs start I’ll get Sling again since the playoffs are every night watching for me. I love having these options and not having to pay big $$ for cable bundles and yet still being able to watch what I want. The hell with paying for ESPN, the Big Ten Network and shit like that.

No regional sports or OTA stations on Sling here in NC so I am cancelling as soon as my dad leaves town on Sunday. (He gets the jitters if he doesn't watch cable news.). I'm going to wait until Center Ice cuts its rate and then subscribe. I will also get an attic OTA antenna for my living room TV when I move into my new house.

No, I fled Chicago to get away from snow, taxes, and Mike Madigan. I plan to have my dad down here for 7-10 days every couple of months while he can still travel.
