It's been a couple of years since the "FOX NFL Sunday" pregame show has vacated its Los Angeles studios and gone on the road. This Sunday, it will be quite a road trip indeed as host Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson, NFL Insider Jay Glazer and funnyman Frank Caliendo originate the show from Afghanistan. You read it right, folks. The guys will be LIVE via satellite from Afghanistan with hundreds of thousands of men & women fighting overseas. It's a broadcast so big, that it'll be a 2 hour pregame show this Sunday at 10a on FOX32 locally. It's one trip those guys will never forget.

Is there any chance they can leave Frank Caliendo in Kabul? (crosses fingers)

it feels a bit too staged for my liking, but I'm sure that the troops are getting a big kick out of it so that's all that really matters, so good for fox for doing that.

yeah i get that but i doubt the soldiers have a problem with it. Like cc said the soldiers seem to really be getting a kick out of it so thats why i thought it was cool

I had to stop at the grocery store after Mass, so I missed the first 20 minutes, but I LOVED it! I cried through the "Fired Up" section when each of them talked about their week in Afghanistan. And so help me, coming of age in the late 70s as an Oilers fan I had NO love for Terry Bradshaw. Over (a lot of) time, I've come to enjoy him on the Fox show, but when he started singing "God Bless America", I just freaking lost it. I think it was SO cool that they went there in the first place, but to be there after the recent tragedy at Ft. Hood seemed to highlight their message. Nicely done, Fox guys.

:thumright:

i'm glad i wasn't the only one hh. I know it was kinda corny but it made me smile when they did god bless america. I was suprised by my reaction to it. Actually my favorite moment of the football season so far, surpassing rodgers game winning td over the bears

FF, i'd give you a salute but i've been told by other soldiers it's offensive for a civ to give a soldier a salute.

The guys did a terrific job in saluting our troops earlier today. It turns out Veterans Day happens Wednesday, and it was as passionate and as good a pregame show as FOX Sports could do. Unfortunately, why wasn't Chris Myers holding down the fort at the FOX Television Center in Hollywood like they had done previously when the "FOX NFL Sunday" pregame was on the road? Chris Rose is awful, and other national media types literally took Rose to the woodshed for his handling of the Yankees' World Series Trophy Celebration late Wednesday night...
