When it comes to the most signature voices in sports television history, Keith Jackson is one of the all time greats. The man who coined "Whoa Nellie!" & "FUMBLE!" for over 5 decades at ABC Sports as the alphabet network's signature voice of college football may have retired in 2006, but won't stay retired much longer.

According to ChicagoBusiness.com's Ed Sherman, the legendary Jackson will be hosting a new show this fall on the FOX-owned Big Ten Network, DIRECTV 610. It's a new show called "Big Ten Icons", a new 20-episode series counting down the 50 greatest sports icons in the history of the Big Ten Conference. All sports will be spotlighted in this series, including names we all know and others that you probably didn't know played at one time in the conference. For instance, you know the name Jack Nicklaus as one of the all time greats in the history of golf, but you may not have known that Jack once played at Ohio State. That's part of what this new "Icons" series is all about.

"As the voice for so many of college sports' unforgettable games and moments, particularly involving the Big Ten, he is a perfect match for this series," Big Ten Network president Mark Silverman said.
