Seems Adam was really bothered by the backlash. I dont think he realizes how many people dislike him. He's been humbled a bit. Also, I think he realized Alison doesnt fucking like him...at all.

Honestly though, peruse the show your boss is on and the book your boss writes (since your job is to discuss these things). That's pretty basic stuff.

Alison's next podcast will be interesting.

Agree on the Car stuff though. Brutal.

Early returns are positive on Adam for being honest. Very satisfying at the very least.

Cant wait for Alison's response!

Hate wading into this but so much misinformation being tweeted at me. Will set record straight on my show.

Well, the feud is on!

I only made it thru the open last time. I never really got the Thursday gang appeal

It seems to be

Hey remember that thing from when we were kids? that was hilarious? (all five people share their expericences with said thing)

It gets old fast.

But ill listen to her rebuttal

That rivals the Duchess of Alba picture.

who or what the fugg is that?

oh, it's that d-bag anthony from opie and anthony. Great get there, Carolla, David Duke must've been an Alison fan.

Listening now. I think the Thursday gang is kaput after this Carolla evisceration of Alison and Adam's crew either enthusiastically cheering on Adam drawing and quartering Alison (Dawson) or simply backing up Adam (Bald Bryan, Maxipada).

Forgot to write my response to that

Adam is completely justified in firing her (he did it like a dick for sure)

Asking her to write something for the Chicago show and her coming up with nothing is a fireable offense on its own, imo

The Carolla digital logo thing would piss me off. In fact, Ill bet Adam figured out Alison was distancing himself BEFORE that and asked her as a way to test the theory.

Just a bunch of indefensible actions from Alison. Not coming up with material when specifically asked (Chicago show and What to expect...bits)

And the Irish goodbye at the Christmas party is bullshit. Ive done that. I think a lot of people have, but not at an event your boss paid for. A simple thank you, see ya next week would have sufficed (and Ill bet she'd still have her job)

Also the Lynch giving her stories thing is bad.

She doesnt have to read his book or watch his show, but fuck, read a page or two and fake it. And watch 5 mins of the show and bring up that scene.

Its almost like she WANTED to be fired.

Adam shouldnt have brought up the car thing. The whole audience rolled their eyes at that.

So yeah, she needed to be fired. Adam's handling was awful.

And she is going to fall off now. All the Adam guests (aka most of her guests) are gone.

I think Alison is funny but she's apparently very lazy.

As loathsone as Cumia can be, he occassionally lucks into a funny line. Opie's career is the 10th wonder of the world. Seriously, Ive never heard anyone say anything positive about that guy

His Adam rant was funny. What a fucking loser.

Kevin Costner was on today's show ostensibly to promote his new movie Black and White. I saw the preview, and it just looks lame. Early reviews on Rotten Tomatoes aren't favorable either. I bring this up because this doesn't sound like the type of movie Carolla would ever see or like and yet, he fawned over it. No doubt because Costner was sitting right next to him. To me, though, it came across as really phony.

What are the message boards saying about the show lately, RBP?

yeah, I turned that one off with a quickness. Carolla's barely tolerable solo these days and Costner has the personality of a paper cut.

Carolla turned on the mics post-game last night at Kimmel's Super Bowl party If you find Bernstein's talking about his kid non-stop annoying, imagine if Bernstein brought his kids in studio so they could talk over Cousin Sal/Simmons/Kimmel/DAG et al. Jeez, let the kids say hi on mic and then get them out of the way.

Cousin Sal lost $17.5K betting on the Seahawks while Carolla won $5K betting on the Pats. Short show, as no one seemed happy that Carolla fired up his podcast at the party.

Adam solo is a non starter for me unless its a guest I REEEEAALLLY like. I think I listened to Seth Macfarlane like two years ago

The message board just rips Adam. That wont change.

Carolla doing the podcast at the party sounds stupid. Why does he feel so comfortable using people's social events for work? (setting up a mangria bar at Seth Macfarlane's Xmas party)

I think what Adam doesn't realize is that how Ray/Dawson/Lynch et al are to him he is to Kimmel/McFarlane--that is, an entertaining charity case.

Mangria is 'fortified wine', aka, bum wine. The reviews aspire to be charitable but they end up panning it as overpriced ($20 a bottle?! dafugg) crap:

http://warrenbuchanan.com/2013/11/an-ho ... s-mangria/

http://www.cowtowneats.com/2013/07/inst ... ngria.html

Boone's Farm makes a $2 bottle of Sangria that's probably just as effective and not as bad tasting.

Carolla had to finally let go of his hope of making money on some place he had out in Malibu---he bought it for too much at the height of the real estate bubble (2007) and recently sold it for what he paid for it (7 years later...) so he could, rumor has it, pay off Ozzie and his wife to settle the lawsuit over the podcast company.

maybe paying 7 figures for the lawsuit inspired Carolla to dump Alison and bring in rotating eye candy/potential dinner dates on the weekend while his wife is off cougaring it up on Springsteen's tour or in Zona driving race-cars for 2 weeks.

Simmons and Cousin Sal discussing Carolla's shite-cast from the after-party. "if there's anything America likes, it's kids grabbing the microphone and talking on a podcast"

Which is weird because its pretty much all negative over there.

I might buy Carolla not wanting to "burn the calories" required to carry on or even just one-off cheat.

But his wife is never with him on weekends. Even if he's in town, she's off doing her own thing. Either he's out to dinner w.out her but with the kids and with Dr Drew and Dr Drew's wife or Carolla's chillin at home with the kids while his wife's out at a party/concert/etc. Heck, when Carolla has concert tickets, he ends up taking his kid instead of wife.

And those are the rare weekends both are in town.

For the most part, either Carolla's out of town Thurs-Sunday or his wife's out of town at a Boss concert or something else.

This is all from Adam's own admission on the podcast(s).

Maybe Dr Drew should hook up Carolla with some low-t meds.

The thread on the super bowl episode is hilarious

Postulating that Adam could have his kids taken away or his drunken actions

wow, checked out that thread and one of the first things in it:

Image

she's not even trying. get adam and the kids out of the house for a Super Bowl party across town at Kimmels? Figure that's a solid 8 hours she has the house to herself to satisfy her "fever". At least someone in that thread started to get a clue that she's likely doing something other than what she says when she's constantly ditching Carolla and the kids.

Yeah, you know the posts were more about Adam not cheating.

I doubt she would tweet that out though if she was fucking around on Sunday.

Im sure she is with the constant trips though.

Them breaking up for a year before getting married seems weird.

I didn't get a chance to listen to the Super Bowl pod until this morning. He sounded really drunk at the beginning of it.

Lynnette is pretty hot. I would, despite her annoying voice.

There's a sepia-toned pic of Lynette wearing nothing but cut off jean shorts in a thread over on dimeforscale. Looks like the rack is real.

I'm barely a Carolla fan. I respect he does his thing very well which he does and he is a chart topper. I've fed off more of the Rogan podcasts and the branches from that. Rosen I always thought was solid though but the point of podcasts wasn't to recreate what Stern did on Sirius IMHO. The free form format offers so much. I want a podcast forum on this site Bigfan because I have something to say! Damn crickets again. Seriously though it does deserve its own forum.

Alison went in on Adam on her podcast, I guess....

Id like her to detail how the reasons in Cumia episode were ridiculous. Other than that, she doesnt make much of a case

I'll summarize:

Sounds like she wrote this all out beforehand and is reading it.
* Claims Adam agreed to let the lackeys appear on her post-firing shows, and then changed his mind after one show.
* Reasons Adam gave for firing her at start of Cumia show "range from false to ridiculous."
* Their deal was that Adam got half of her Amazon click-thru money, and she paid a fee to use the studio.
* Couldn't afford to donate to patent troll fund ('"a couple thousand a month") because of her low salary and pending surgery, and Adam was fine with it.
* She paid a graphic designer "hundreds of dollars" to design something for her show to be advertised in the iTunes Store, and "it never occurred to me" to put a Carolla bug on it since other shows like The Nerdist didn't have one.....later admits she did want the bug small and/or invisible, and they did later add one.
* "A female comedian" did drop out of her show after Adam's "women aren't as funny as men" comment, but Adam/Alison's differing politics had no impact.
* She "wanted nothing more" than to be his friend, but he had told her previously he didn't want to hang out with co-workers outside of work so she was "just following his boundaries."
* Husband says Carolla Digital is not a supportive or kind environment and she agrees, saying "if that place were a greenhouse all the plants would be dead."
* Alison claims she was "really easy to work with, dependable, prepared, and took pride in the job."
* "In the entire four years, he never once asked me a question about me off air."

I dunno. I thought she answered most of the claims he made. I think the larger point is he never seemed to voice his displeasure with her work. Going so far as to praise her in the email he fired her with ( ). Mr. "Take no nonsense" "Tell it like it is" Carolla comes off like a passive aggressive little bitch. Firing somebody is one thing. Dedicating a half hour to bashing someone on air after you parted ways is another. Not to mention a bunch of the things Adam was complaining about, Bald Bryan seems to be guilty of too. Poorly handled. The show has suffered with this new chick, btw. I've listened twice since Rosen got bounced. On the other hand, I listen to her's quite a bit...

Alison's show is unlistenable for me.

I havent listened to ACS in a while either though. I think its rotating news chicks.

Adam handled it poorly but If the stuff about not doing the What to expect bits and not having something for the Chicago show is true, those are both fireable offenses.

Boss specifically asked her to do something (her job), twice, and both times she came up with literally nothing.

I mean, she made a good case on the Amazon thing, but I always thought that was ridiculous.

I think Ive just had my fill of Alison. I was souring on her (the whole show really) the last year

Yeah, Alison's "Thursday" show is now the mormon chick, mormon chick's ginormous husband, Rosen's creepy internet stalker husband + Rosen and some random guest / vine / youtube celeb. It's interesting (not) as a glimpse into the vapidity of southern California child-less married couples talking about pets and shopping and personal hygiene.

What's up with everyone at Carolla's company using email and taking weeks to respond. Carolla sounds like a nightmare to work with.

Rosen kinda cherry-picked what "charges" Carolla levied at her to respond to. The freaking "bug" on the itunes logo thing is we-todd-ed and didn't need a blow-by-blow breakdown.

Rosen's creepy internet stalker husband talking about keeping creepy internet stalker fans away from Alison at live shows---probably he was worried Alison would find another creepy internet stalker dude she liked better.

Carolla's presenting his Road Hard film in Chicago next month:

http://www.theportagetheater.com/event/ ... m-chicago/
But the personal safety of Alison talking to crowds post-show--didn't Rosen tour the country with her punk band years ago? Doubt the post-show crowd in the lobby of the Park West or Hard Rock casino presents any more danger than loading gear in a dark alley behind the Empty Bottle. and typically venues provide some sort of security. So if Rosen wanted an escort to her car or to hail a cab, get a beefy security dude with a wireless headset rather than one of Carolla's pip-squeak crew.

Carolla cycled through maybe half a dozen or so alternate news girls. Gina Grad's back this week and figure she's the one Carolla wants/likes best. Gina's the big-titted cheerleader ex-high school jock Carolla want sitting across from and agreeing with everything he says.

Yeah Adam s fucking 35 different kinds of crazy.

Alison was good but she didn't fit his weird vision for carbon Quivers clone

I hope Alison latches on to another good comedian somehow. I dont think The Quantz hour is gonna work

I feel bad for thinking she could answer your punk band tour point by saying I was a lot bigger then

She was like 100lbs heavier
