It's somewhat bittersweet when guys like Greeny and Bernstein fail when going solo. On one hand you like to see it knock their ego down a few pegs (in theory) but on the other, at the point you've been given a solo show you've already made so much money that you don't really give a shit if people tune in or not. Is a guy like Francesca becoming a running joke really a failure when he's banked $30 million talking about sports?

Would you consider the Dan Patrick Show a solo success? One guy drives but there's a lot of moving parts there - same with Rich Eisen and Dan Lebartard's shows.

I'm also wondering, what are some of the most rewarding solo failures in any genre?
