What about Marlin Briscoe (quarterback, wide receiver). There weren't any quality old-time two-way players that would rate any higher?
Passing combos
Ken Stabler and Fred Biletnikoff. I guess this group never heard of Cliff Branch. His numbers were higher with Stabler.
Andre Rison and Jim Kelly but no Joe Namath and Don Maynard. Maynard had three 1,000-yard seasons (one for 1,400) and Rison had four. I think they needed a little more respect for the past.
Their experts: One guy talked about how amazing it was that Rice caught several more TD passes from Young than Montana. Hey genius, if you play together twice as long, the stats will probably be higher.
It's still not all that bad.
I love the New Orleans pick for linebacker combos. Quality observation in that case.
Deacon Jones as top pash rusher, Sammy Baugh as most versatile and Manning and Harrison as top combo are solid No. 1 picks in my book.
I still like the series, but I think they need to do a little more diggin' in some areas.
