Fans, it was 10 years ago that the legendary Harry Caray passed away. Now, it has been revealed that a second member of the famous Caray broadcasting family has died. Late last night, it was learned that Skip Caray, longtime voice of the Atlanta Braves, died in his sleep at his Atlanta home at age 68. Skip's dry, sarcastic wit was a trademark of his broadcasts on TBS during the Atlanta Superstation's 30 years of broadcasting the team's games coast to coast until this season. It turns out that Skip's health was declining in recent months, as he battled diabetes, an irregular heartbeat, congestive heart failure and reduced kidney & liver functions. Skip's health declined to a point where he cut back his broadcasts considerably, and only called home games this season on the Braves' new TV partners, Peachtree TV & Sportsouth, after TBS cutback on its broadcasts to concentrate on a new national Sunday afternoon MLB "Game of the Week". His son, Chip, whom he worked with the last 2 seasons, is the lead play-by-play voice of TBS' Sunday broadcasts.

Another thread on the least likeable of the Caray's? Jeez - soon this will turn into Heath Ledger II.
