Fans, the weather outside may be cold, but MLB Network has started to warm things up for baseball fans everywhere, starting tonight. It's the new 24/7 channel that hopes to give fans their baseball fix all day, all night. DIRECTV subscribers can find it on Channel 213, and on its first night, they talked about the free agents such as Manny Ramirez still available & had World Champion Philadelphia Phillies' shortstop Jimmy Rollins in their studios as a special guest on the premiere on "MLB Hot Stove". It will air at 6 & 9p weeknights. They also aired Don Larsen's 1956 "Perfect Game" right afterwards, complete with Bob Costas chatting with Don & Yogi Berra. If anyone's interested, MLBN will air replays of Game 5 of the Phillies/Dodgers' NLCS that FOX Sports originally aired, as well as the decisive Game 7 of the Rays/Red Sox ALCS that TBS Sports aired, leading up to all 5 games of the Phillies/Rays' World Series, starting Saturday. They'll eventually air actual games, starting with the upcoming World Baseball Classic in March.
