If you are a fan of Frank Caliendo and his countless impressions of the likes of Jack Nicholson, John Madden, Jim Rome, Al Pacino, Jay Leno & David Letterman to name a few, I've got mixed news for you, courtesy of awfulannouncing.com & Broadcasting & Cable. The bad news is that TBS has pulled the plug on his "Frank TV" sketch comedy show. If you watched TBS Sports' coverage of the last 2 Octobers of the MLB Playoffs, a game didn't go by without a commercial or a virtual billboard behind home plate for Frank's own show based loosely on what he did on FOX in the late '90s on "MAD TV". Speaking of FOX, the good news is that Frank has signed a two-year extension to continue providing impressions, picks, and jokes about Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Jimmy Johnson, Howie Long, Michael Strahan & Jillian Barberie-Reynolds on the "FOX NFL Sunday" pregame show.

I think you've got your good news and bad news switched around there SHARKY.

Fox NFL Sunday blows. It was one of my favorite shows. Not even Howie can get me to waste that hour on Sunday.

Depends on how you view it, Eaglo, and I tend to think I had it the other way around...I happen to like Frank on the "FOX NFL Sunday" pregame show, but all the "Frank TV" promos on TBS were a bit much during the snooze that's the MLB Playoffs.

Spaulding, what sucks about "FOX NFL Sunday"? Jillian's revealing outfits during her weather segments? The wisecracks about Strahan's teeth and Johnson's hair?

Jillian was okay about 10 or 15 years ago. Strahan & Johnson are bad and I liked Kimmel better than Frank. Brown was also a better driver on the show. It has gotten too contrived, too advertisey, and goofy.

For the record, James Brown left FOX Sports to join CBS Sports as host of "The NFL Today" for a big reason. J.B. lives in Washington, D.C., and grew tired of the constant commuting between D.C. & the FOX Television Center in Hollywood, CA where the "FOX NFL" pregame originates during the football season. By joining CBS, J.B. has cut back on his travel considerably, especially because New York & D.C. are a lot closer to his home.
