According to Sports Illustrated & NBC Sports' NFL Insider Peter King, might the man who ruined the Detroit Lions as Team President be in line to replace new "Sunday Night Football" Cris Collinsworth on NFL Network's "Thursday Night Football" broadcasts this fall? Although he recently signed on with ESPN as part of the "Worldwide Leader's" new look "Monday Night Countdown" crew, King's sources claim that Millen is the leading candidate to join PBP voice Bob Papa on NFLN's own 8-game prime time Thursday night package starting in November. This despite the fact that Millen had reportedly already committed to join Chris Berman and company at ESPN's Bristol, CT studio for "Monday Night Football" coverage, joining "NFL Live" during the week, and analyzing College Football for ESPN/ABC Sports on the weekends from stadiums across America. Although Millen knew his stuff as the #2 analyst for both CBS Sports & FOX Sports in the early '90s, he's not the only guy who could be in line to replace Collinsworth. Brian Billick, who did an outstanding job in his first season analysing the NFL on FOX as well as NFLN's "Coors Light Matchup" show, NFLN's own Marshall Faulk and former ESPN analyst Joe Theismann are all said to be under consideration for the "Thursday Night" job.
