When Turner/TBS Sports starts the National League Championship Series Thursday in Los Angeles between the World Champion Phillies & Dodgers, he may be on the call with Chip Caray, Buck Martinez & Craig Sager in the dugout, but TBS lead analyst Ron Darling may be staring at big trouble with the IRS off the field.

Darling, who pitched on the Mets' World Series Championship team in 1986, is staring at quite a tax bill, according to reports in the Detroit News & awfulannouncing.com. Darling reportedly owes Uncle Sam $544,197 in state & federal taxes, according to records. I would love to know how anyone lasts that long without the IRS putting liens on everything they own for that kind of money?

The IRS came after me a few years back for not filing in 01 and 02, so once I got that situated, I've never messed with them again. Then again, I always get a return.
