The good news is that Turner/TBS Sports won't have any more baseball games to broadcast this year. According to veteran New York Times' media critic Richard Sandomir, Chip Caray may have called his last baseball game with TBS. Chip has come under a great deal of scrutiny for a series of missed calls & bad judgements during the first 2 rounds of TBS' postseason coverage, such as the infamous "Line drive...Base hit!" call that really wasn't in the Tigers/Twins' AL Central tiebreaker game that became quite an embarrassing moment and Chip-bashing became very fashionable.

Chip's boss at Turner Sports, David Levy, didn't exactly give Chip an endorsement in regards to returning to TBS as its #1 baseball voice in an E-mail. However, Sandomir did offer some suggestions in regards to improving the network's presentation of Major League Baseball on the whole and you can read about what Richard would do by linking here:
