While NBC Sports Network joins fellow NBC Universal-owned outlets MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo & NBC itself later this week in broadcasting live coverage of the Games of the XXX Summer Olympiad from London, the sports network formerly known as VERSUS will soon turn on "The Lights" when Olympic coverage concludes Monday, August 13th.
"The Lights" is the name of a brand new sports news & highlights show that'll air weekday mornings from 6-8A (CT). What will be different about "The Lights" is something viewers won't necessarily see. That's an anchor providing the continuous highlights during a new 2-hour morning programming block. The new show will be geared for sports fans on the go, complete with voiceovers, graphics & continuous highlights that'll be repeated every 20 minutes and updated as necessary.
"The Lights" will be the first show in NBC Sports Network's post-Olympics schedule that'll include the return of "NBC Sports Talk" Tuesday, August 14th at 5P (CT) with host Erik Kuselias & the monthly video version of "Sports Illustrated: The TV Show." The video version of "SI" launches tonight on NBCSN at 8P.
