Have your pencils & scorecards ready, as ESPN/ABC have announced their college football assignments for the upcoming season.

Even though it's listed as "TBA", according to an ESPN press release, all indications continue to point towards Heather Cox replacing FOX Sports-bound Erin Andrews as sideline reporter on the ESPN-produced "Saturday Night Football" games with veteran PBP voice Brent Musburger & analyst Kirk Herbstreit that'll air on ABC. Heather is currently in London as part of ESPN's team reporting on the Games of the XXX Summer Olympiad and an official announcement should be made when she returns next week. For Brent & Kirk, it'll be their 7th season as ESPN/ABC's #1 college football broadcast team.

It had also been announced previously that Longhorn Network's Samantha Steele joins ESPN in 2 roles this upcoming season. Steele will replace sideline reporter Jenn Brown on ESPN's "Thursday Night Football" with PBP voice Rece Davis & co-analysts David Pollack & Jesse Palmer in addition to replacing Erin Andrews on "College GameDay" as host of the 8A hour on ESPNU and as a reporter when the show shifts to ESPN starting at 9A Saturday mornings.

One team will remain in place for Saturday night games, primarily on ESPN and occasionally on ABC. That team will be NFL Network's Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge & Holly Rowe on the sidelines.

Viewers will also notice some new announce teams for the upcoming season, such as Carter Blackburn replacing Joe Tessitore as PBP on ESPN2's Friday night package with analyst Rod Gilmore & new sideline reporter Jemele Hill, an ESPN.com contributor since 2006 who has also been getting a lot of airtime on the "Worldwide Leader's" many platforms on both TV & radio. Tessitore will shift to Saturday nights on ESPN with analyst Matt Millen & either Shannon Spake, Jessica Mendoza or Shelley Smith on the sidelines this fall.
