Since 1991, every Notre Dame home football game has aired on one network. That network is NBC. According to ShermanReport.com, that's going to be the plan for quite sometime to come.

Hot on the heels of Notre Dame's undefeated regular season in 2012 going 12-0, yet getting clobbered by Alabama in the BCS Championship Game, NBC Sports has announced quite an extension to continue its broadcasts of Notre Dame Football for another 10 years through the year 2025. While the majority of Notre Dame home games will continue to air on NBC, the new extension includes selected home games airing on NBC Sports Network, DIRECTV 220, starting in 2016. The games will continue to be streamed via NBC Sports Digital, an arrangement that has occurred since 2009.

The new Notre Dame/NBC Sports' extension also comes on the heels of a change in the broadcast booth for the upcoming season, announced last week. It was revealed late last week that NBC's lead Golf PBP Dan Hicks will supplant Tom Hammond in the booth with NFL Network's Mike Mayock & sideline reporter Alex Flanagan on the sidelines of historic Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, IN. Dan, Mike & Alex will be on the call for the 84th Blue/Gold Spring Football Game, which will air for only the third time nationally this Saturday at Noon (CT) on NBC Sports Network.

The first Notre Dame broadcast on NBC will air Saturday, August 31st when HC Brian Kelly's team hosts Temple at 2:30P (CT). As for the other Notre Dame/NBC games:

*vs. Michigan State Saturday, September 21st
*vs. Oklahoma Saturday, September 28th
*vs. Arizona State Saturday, October 5th-Cowboys Stadium, Arlington, TX
*vs. USC Saturday, October 19th
*vs. Navy Saturday, November 2nd
*vs. BYU Saturday, November 23rd (Season Finale)

The games against WEAK Forest, Duke and Virginia will be MUST SEE. That A.C.C. deal will Shake down the Thunder. Why play Michigan when you can play Louisville????? The Ville....a new A.C.C. Football school!!!

Probably on ESPN or ABC, Aggravated. They have the ACC package.

Irish joining A.C.C., Shark. Everything BUT Football, where they will play 5 Games per season vs. A.C.C.

ESPN/ABC has the ACC package, Aggravated. That's where you'll find those games. The ageless Don Criqui & Allen Pinkett will be back to provide the descriptions of all those games, home & away, on the Notre Dame/IMG Sports Network, heard locally on 89 WLS-AM with the big booty, SHARK's idol Chet Coppock, hosting local pre & postgame.

SHARK. He doesn't care who carries ACC games. He's just saying it sucks that Notre Dame has to play five unremarkable ACC schools a year instead of the "traditional" rivals they've cherry-picked over the country.

I always thought it was stupid that Notre Dame got to do its own thing. ACC doesn't make sense, though. They belong in the Big Ten, based on geography and the self-satisfied fart-sniffing of their fandom.

CH, quite frankly, I don't like it either. Money talks. Notre Dame belongs in the Big Ten (Plus), not the ACC and they know it.
