A few random thoughts:

* While it's still my Sunday morning choice over "Berman and The Boo-Yaas" I'm getting a little tired of the Joe Buck Show...This show was soooo much better with James Brown. When did Buck decide he was a "big star?" Stick to calling the games (which, when not interjecting his "personality" into it, he does very well)...

* The whole Fox road show thing is horrible. Copying off ESPN's college football show is not working for you. I think it's been mentioned before about the guys sounding like they're shouting over the crowd.

* Someone tell the Boo Yaas to stop calling them the New York "Football" Giants. We are watching a football pregame show...we know...seriously. Dahl used to do this with every football team when he was on "Sports 1000."

* If you took Irvin, da Coach (blasphemy?), and Berman out of the ESPN show, it would be pretty good. Someone needs to tell Berman about saying "no" to the second plate at the buffet, and about the use of a hairbrush. The weird contortions of his vocal chords at times is a bit creepy too...

I think for the last couple of years, ESPN's Countdown show has been the best, I usually watch all three, ESPN is the one I pay attention more too. Fox, I just watch for the Caliendo thing and CBS, just to see who they pick to win.

I will be intreseted to see how Countdown does without Irvin, because I am probably one of the few that enjoyed him and that was a reason I watched.

ESPN Countdown is appointment tv, if only for all the WYC material they generate on a weekly basis.

That being said, how the hell did this post get bumped after half a year?!?

If you can get past Chris Berman (and I understand those who can't), it's a damn good show. If Dan Bernstein were working for a station up the dial, he probably wouldn't complain as much about ESPN as he does today.

Yes. That was a very strange bump. Who the hell has been talking about NFL shows lately?

Cords, unless you have a polyphonic voice.

Do you mean when he forgets to breathe and runs out of air so he gets that really strained, tight sound in his voice? I hate that.
