Unfortunately for Chicago Bears fans and really for Matt Forte most of all, the talented Chicago Bears running back might be out for the rest of the season if a report is true that the back has torn his ACL in today’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Ryan Baker from CBS in Chicago is reporting, “Unconfirmed reports circulating that Matt Forte has a torn ACL and is done for the season. If true, Bears playoff hopes could be shot.”

Forte has been desiring a new contract for some time and the Bears have held out and now it seems like Forte might not get his big payday after all even though he’s played through his frustrations and provided the Bears with some incredible offense all season. He’s rushed 198 times for 985 yards and 3 touchdowns. Even more, the 25-year-old has caught another 52 catches for 490 yards on the season — on pace for around a 2,000 yard season of total offense from scrimmage.

I hope Baker has it wrong. Forte deserves better.

Out 2-6 weeks.

More than likely, no way he comes back this season. No deal, no play at this point. Can't jeopardize the rest of his career to play now.

I don't think so. I guess if he's 100%, but there's no way he should come back if he's anything less.

Yes but Jay is weak and he should have stayed in bed for 8 months after the injury.

Lovie & the Bears know that both Cutler & Forte are done for the year.
