In an update, Chicago Bears wide receiver and punt return specialist Devin Hester has sold one of his two Chicago-area residences, a five-bedroom, 3,100-square-foot home in Gurnee, for $322,500.
Hester bought the house in 2006 for $436,000. His principal residence is a mansion he bought in Riverwoods in 2008 for $2.2 million.
The house Hester just sold had been listed for $329,900. Features include 3-1/2 baths, an upgraded kitchen, a family room with fireplace, a master suite with two walk-in closets and vaulted ceilings, a two-story living room, a finished basement and a three-car garage.
Hester's listing agent, Lori Progar of Coldwell Banker, declined to comment on the transaction.
Him and a majority of others selling their homes.... Lives right across the street from Bittersweet Golf Course.
I know exactly where that is. I grew up not far from there. Nice area but I could see why he is losing so much.
There are 1000's of homes that nice or nicer in that area and north of Grand and west of Hunt Club.
