The game is meaningless for the Eagles. It all comes down to next Sunday no matter what. This clearly benefits the Bears.

It isn't. But ok.

Mike McCarthy: Rodgers looks ready to play, starter announcement on Friday

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers hasn’t gotten medically cleared to return to the Packers lineup yet, but he passed coach Mike McCarthy’s eye test on Thursday.

McCarthy told reporters that Rodgers looked both sharp and ready to play while taking part in practice on Thursday. McCarthy said, via Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, that he would have a conversation with Rodgers on Friday and then make an announcement about who will start against the Steelers this weekend.

The lack of medical clearance remains a large obstacle, as does the fact that Matt Flynn was taking the reps with the first team, but this is still the most positive report from McCarthy about Rodgers since Rodgers resumed practicing. That makes this week’s announcement as the starter a little bit more intriguing than it has been the last few weeks, although, again, there’s still plenty of reason to believe that Rodgers will miss another week.

This decision determines whether Packers or Bears take the divison. No way Flynn is beating the Steelers.

He is right now.

Bears can still get the 3 seed as amazing as that sounds.

If the Bears and Cowboys both win their divisions they'll both have 9 wins. Bears beat the Cowboys. So the Bears get the 3 seed.

If Hub says this, then mark it down Rodgers plays this week.

Quote:
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers hasn’t played since he was sacked by Shea McClellin on Nov. 4 in Green Bay.
The quarterback suffered a broken collarbone on the play, and though he’s had limited participation in practices over the last few weeks, 670 The Score’s Hub Arkush does not think Rodgers will be ready to play in Sunday’s all-important Bears-Packers game on Sunday.
“From what I understand, (Rodgers) was a lot further away than he was letting on,” Arkush told The McNeil and Spiegel Show. “Apparently what the Packers have been doing is letting the media get a look at him during stretch and the early part (of practice) and as soon as the media leaves, so does Rodgers. He goes to rehab and doesn’t do a lot. I’ve got one source that tells me when the doctors looked at the scans last week, (they determined) the bone is just not healed. Remember, Lance Briggs’ (injury) was four to six weeks and it turned into nine. … My gut just tells me that Rodgers isn’t ready.”
It’s important to note that Arkush reported Rodgers’ broken collarbone during Westwood One’s coverage of that game.
“I don’t think he’s gonna play,” Arkush said. “I think the Bears are going to win whether he plays or not. … I don’t see the Packers’ defense coming into Soldier Field and keeping the Bears from putting at least 30-40 (points) on the board. I don’t know how that happens if you’v watched them the last couple of weeks. I don’t think Rodgers is going to go, but I think the Bears will probably win the game either way.

Does Rozner's comment negate Hub's or just make the opposite stronger?

I have more trust in Rozner than in Hub.

This guy is pretty smart.

   I wish I were wrong. First it was Favre and now Rodgers. There must be great days ahead for me as a Bears fan.
