Culter has been talked about enough. Big game for him, obviously.

But I'm also focusing on Trestman here. He's gotta put together a game plan to win this shoot out. Cuz our defense is gonna give up at least 31. Everybody knows it. Nothing can be done about it. The Packers will score 31. Fine.

Trestman has to get the Bears to score more. And I think it's with the running game to start. Forte can gash the Packers. With the run, screens and dump off check downs. Trestman has to especially stress the "Dump off to Forte check down" to Cutler. With Mathews out, the Bears can get chunks on this simple strategy.

Then it will open up shit in the 2nd quarter or 2nd half. That's how the Bears are gonna win.

you know who this game isn't a big test for? mel tucker. he's already passed it in my eyes. he clearly shouldn't be fired for next year, and furthermore i think he's got some ideas that i'd love to see him implement next year.

however, don't get it twisted: i'm not advocating that mel tucker should be the defensive coordinator of the chicago bears next year, i just think that he shouldn't be fired from the defensive coordinator position, which would then allow him to implement his wonderful ideas next year. there's a big difference there, and if you don't see it you're clearly an idiot who's going onto social media to bloviate ignorant opinions that wouldn't exist if only you spent more time listening to me.

signed,

matt "drinky" abbatacola: 50kw-verified non-advocate of mel tucker and his 29th ranked defense.

btw, yes, i know that dan was the one who actually said that he'd love to see mel's ideas next year much like jerry angelo seeks out people's "football information." i might not listen enough, but when i do listen i often quickly think "enough" =D

I was absolutely right about Forte and our O-Line. I was wrong about our D-line. I think we only hit Rogers once. On that fumble. Forte almost had the 200 combo yards. To be honest, he should have been used more in the 1st half. We were blowing them off the line.
