If the rule you followed lead you to this, of what use was the rule?

I actually feel bad for how vociferously I've expressed that opinion over the last few weeks, and especially last night. I do think the defense failed to meet basic competency benchmarks that don't depend on season ending injuries and whatever, so I think it's very reasonable to consider dismissing him, but I really hope he turns it around next year if he's brought back, for his own sake as much as for the Bears' sake.
