Major Wright is ranked 8th on the Safeties list, if the lists are in order of some talent evaluation....

Either way, the Bear draft a Safety 1st or 2nd and sign a REAL veteran! Not one who has managed to hang on for 4 years, like Wright or Steltz.

Have to draft the DT, because top notch cost too much to sign $$$,

Gonna need at least one DE free agent

Starting to lean this way too. Keep hearing that safety is deep this year, and Dline is not. As much as I want Ha Ha, may be the smarter move to go DT in the first, Safety in the second.

Depending on what scheme they decide on there will be some good ones available:

Rashede Hagemen (Minn), probably a 4-3 guys
Timmy Jerrigan (FSU), 4-3
Louis Nix III (ND) 3-4
Aaron Donald (Pitt), 4-3 ... the new "move Zorich to linebacker guy."

Loved Nate Allen coming out of USF. I don't know how he is listed lower than Wright. It was my understanding he played pretty well for the Eagles.

I think Fred Davis is an undervalued commodity at TE. He was on the cutting edge of things, then got hurt, then got passed over. I really would like the Bears to get another pass catching TE. Brandon Myers would be great but I think they need to shop more in the bargain bin.
