What was your favorite return for touchdown by the soon to be former Bear.

Obviously not a Bear fan here, but it's gotta be the SB, right? That's the first thing I'll always think of when someone mentions him.

The punt return from the "they are who we though they are" game.

I think if they would have won the SB I would remember that return more fondly. For me it is the 2006 return against the Cardinals in the "Crown their ASS!" game.

Punt return in AZ, and the return against Denver where he hurdled over Sauerbraun.

obviously it's the cardinals crown they ass game. i mean that was just special "remember where you were" type shit. i can corroborate that the super bowl was a blur and didnt really stick out as opposed to "oh yeah holy shit i forgot devin put them up 7-0...."

i've been fortunate enough to see a couple'a his return TDs live.... 2010 MNF against the packers (you know, the game where GB had 18 penalties and urlacher still had to force the fumble on james jones to set up robbie gould's game-winning drive) and "the mike williams game" aka the regular season loss to seattle in 2010, where devin's late punt return TD got them to within 3-4pts but they needed an onside kick to have a shot..... and they didnt get it. it's kind of amazing to witness that live when you're up there in the upper deck watching it develop and that first time you realize it could be possible when you just blurt out "GO!" and then... yeah, phenomenal stuff. about as exciting a player as you could have in your 20something/early-30s wheelhouse at least in terms of the NFL.

and i'll always remember him torching the fucking vikings. good god, remember he was money for a ~98yd+ TD against them, whether it was brian griese or rex or kyle orton throwing it to him? bam. go figure he ended up having his most return yards in a game against the vikings last year, which was amazing because there were ~3 returns where old devin would have taken it to the house but new devin got tripped up / caught around the 30-20yd line.... c'est la vie. devin always had something for the most annoying team to deal with in person: the vikings.

so yeah rock on devin, do ya thing.... and you did well for a kid who prolly would have been a shitty thug if he had to go that route comeon real talk here =D

Yep

Best Regular season Bears game ever for me.

I was running around my living room dodging couches as he dodged defenders

I stand corrected. Makes sense that it wouldn't come in a loss.

That Arizona game really was amazing on a few different levels.

While the question is a matter of opinion, so the previous responses cant be wrong, but when I have heard urlacher, tillman and Briggs all say it was the Super Bowl, I think we can figure out which was the biggest impact to the team.

funny thing about that return was Tillman saying it was almost anti climatic after that. Couldnt maintain that level of emotion. (Rex didnt help)

That one I remember watching the Sb at my place with 5 friends, and essentially saying the same thing Tillman did. Not going to be able to maintain that hype level.

Think devin is literally knocking on Lovies door right now. or Miamis.

I'll go Cardinal game number one, but in the moment, the Super Bowl return was spectacular. He had broken all those records as a rookie, and then first play of the game, one cut and BOOM! I was at a bar, and everyone was going nuts. That play drained our energy for a good 5 minutes.

His last few years and his failures at WR make it easy to forget how great that dude was the first few years.

Hall of Fame player. I mean, if Ray Guy is, Devin is. Best return man ever.

Always going to be the Arizona game.

Our son was born at 11 o clock that night.

Great day all around.

Nice... that kid is gonna be special. That was the "Urlacher game", too. Let me know if your kid ends up 6'4" 260 with a 4.5 40.

Ill add in his first game, a 26-0 Win at Green Bay. His first TD and it had the added bonus of "wow maybe this guy was worth the pick"

Bye Podlesh too.

For Devin it has to be either the Arizona game or the missed FG return where he pretended to give up and then took off.

The Denver game hurdle ranks right up there for me too. I know REALLY.SMART.LISTENERS aren't allowed to say it but I was at that game and enjoyed the heck out of the beat down that Sauerbraun took -- as I recall in addition to being jumped by Hester, later in the game Peanut blocked one of his punts (because he was trying to angle away from Hester).

And that was the game we were all supposed to be scared of the Very Talented Jay Cutler

It's not just about taking it to the house. I would like to see how many times he fumbled a kickoff. A few times last season but overall,I think he was pretty good.
He was an All-Time great! I liked the returns where he faked kneeling in the EZ then took off for a 105 yards or whatever. Pretty damn exciting.

Would love a stat on how many over 30 yard returns he had, but not TDs, that allowed the Bear to set up on the 50 to start drives. felt like he had a ton of these that really changed games.

Yeah, you are right. People remember TD's but those returns or Punters sacrificing distance to kick it out of bounds are all "Devin Factor's".

He was frustrating at times, but the good far outweighed the bad. He might have had 40+ returns if Lovie didn't make him a #1 WR. I wish him well. Hopefully he can sign somewhere else and get himself a few more return TDs.

He'll play in Tampa Bay for free if Lovie wants him. Not sure if his father was in his life but Lovie appears to be that father he never had.

One of the most exciting Bears to ever put on a uniform. I kinda wish they would have dealt him
now and gotten something for him when the skills were diminishing but I think there is a good
chance he'll get a shot at the HOF as a special teamer one day. The way the game is changing
it will be a real uphill battle to catch him in KO returns.

Players just love Lovie. Olin was singing his praises yesterday as was Patrick Mannelly.

Hester reminds me of overall Bears failure and Super Bowl disaster.

I hope for him he's saved his cash. I can see him being flat broke in a few years.

Great career as a returner obviously.

No to HOF however.

While not a Rhodes Scholar he always seemed to be a decent, nice guy. I do hope he has put some $$ away. I don't know that he would transition well to broadcasting.

I always liked this picture:
