...here is a (AB)SHARK PSA on the LARZBOARD regarding the Bears preseason announcers:

"...With the Bears starting up the NFL Preseason vs. the Philadelphia Eagles Friday night at Soldier Field, it's a public service of mine to let you know the announcers who will be calling the game Friday night at 7P.

On the team-produced Chicago Bears Network, with FOX 32 as the flagship station again this summer, he's the veteran TV play-by-play voice of the NHL's New York Rangers on MSG Network. He will also be part of a rotation of lower tier play-by-play voices that includes Justin Kutcher, Gus Johnson & believe it or not, onetime "SportsChannel Report" anchor/reporter & voice of the "UFC on FOX" Mike Goldberg, on the "NFL on FOX" this fall. His analyst wore #15 for the Bears long before WR Brandon Marshall, analyzes postgame on Comcast SportsNet Chicago, plus has a radio show on Sirius/XM NFL Radio & is the radio analyst on the Michigan State Football Radio Network. On the sidelines is FOX 32's lead sports anchor. You & I know them better as Sam Rosen, Jim Miller & Lou Canellis, and they'll have the descriptions of 3 of the 4 Bears' preseason games starting with Friday's preseason opener vs. Philadelphia.

As for the radio call, just like in previous years, WBBM Newsradio 780 AM/105.9 FM headlines the Chicago Bears Radio Network with Jeff Joniak, Tom Thayer & sideline reporter Zach Zaidman painting the picture. Seems hard to believe, but Jeff & Tom have been the Bears Radio Network announce team since 2001. For Thayer in particular, this is his 17th season as the team's color analyst, while this will be Joniak's 13th as the Bears' radio voice. Hard to believe..."

It is hard to believe Joniak has been allowed to keep that job for so long.

SHARK is more eloquent than half the knuckle-draggers on the Larz board, who can't post anything more than "bwuuhhh i ahte nick diligio"
