The Bears had 3 QB's they felt good about. Enough said. Edwards wasn't an option.

Don't be an ass- how good did Rex Grossman look during his first 20 quarters last year. How good did Kyle Orton look against Detroit. Quarterbacks look great lots of times before there's no tape on them. And if you're going to draft a QB like that and hitch your future to him, don't draft the 6th-best guy in the draft, in the 3rd round where these guys rarely pan out.

They didnt draft him out of necessity, so it wasnt hitching their future to him. That phrase should be reserved for top 3 picks, not 3rd round picks. Just turned out to be a nice surprise probably.

No, he'll probably turn into a flameout who'll suck by week 10. There's a slight chance that he'll be OK, and a miniscule chance he'll be an all-pro. But it's assinine to go, boy, we should have drafted a kid with a 1-1 TD/INT ratio out of STANFORD in the 3rd round, then the Bears would be set. I'm sorry, I'd much rather go the take a first rounder and hitch your wagon to him route. That doesn't work out often either, but I'm willing to wager it works out more often than the alternative.

Edwards has led his offense to 3 points today...What did I miss? Don't get me wrong, he doesn't look incompetent, but we scored 3 points on Dallas too, and our offense sucks!
